Last Wednesday, the MoDCS Research Group held the WMoDCS 2026.1, our traditional event that takes place every semester and serves as an important moment for sharing research progress, exchanging ideas, and strengthening collaboration among students, researchers, professors, and partners.

Throughout the day, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral researchers presented their ongoing work in areas such as dependability, performance evaluation, intelligent transportation systems, electric mobility, IoT, edge computing, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. The workshop once again demonstrated the breadth and quality of the research being developed within the MoDCS Research Group.

A special highlight of this edition was the participation of All Motors, which joined us to present its vision, technologies, and innovations in electric mobility. The company also brought electric motorcycles to the event, creating a unique opportunity for participants to connect academic research with real-world technological developments. This interaction reinforces the importance of bringing industry and academia together to foster innovation and generate impactful solutions for society.

The presence of All Motors also represents an important step in strengthening partnerships between industry and academia, contributing not only to the growth of MoDCS but also to the broader mission of the Centro de Informática and the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco of promoting excellence in research, innovation, and technology transfer.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all presenters, participants, and guests who contributed to the success of this edition. We also extend special thanks to the organizing team, whose dedication made this event possible, and to All Motors for sharing its experience and helping strengthen the connection between research and industry.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in WMoDCS 2026.2, continuing our tradition of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation.
